This picture says it all to me! When I look at fast food, highly processed foods, foods that are quick and easy I see this right here! FAKE FOOD!! Food that comes straight from my little girls play kitchen set.
After watching the documentary "Hungry For aChange" I have decided to share with my followers what I am learning as I watch! In this documentary they go to say that people are,
"Overfed but starving to death!"
You can eat 10,000 calories a day but if you're not getting in the nutrients your body needs then you're starving on a nutritional bases, which is what causes your body to stay hungry! Same goes if you are eating "low fat" or "fat free". First of all those things contain artificial sweeteners that in turn damage our health (I'll talk about this more later). The lack of nutrition in the daily diet is what is causing so many issues.
If you look at other cultures you will see that they have a very low calorie diet but a very high nutritional diet and a much lower rate of illnesses. If you look at our culture we have a very high calorie diet but a very low nutritional diet. The off balance of the two is why obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer are all on the raise!
Even with a very clean diet our soil and plants are depleted of nutrition because when plants are repeatedly grown on the same land, the soil loses vitamins, minerals, and microbes faster than they can be replaced. Over time, the plants have fewer nutrients to grow. Fertilizer contains just enough nutrition for the plant to survive until harvesting, but not enough to support human health. Most plants are not harvested fresh. They sit on trucks, shelves, and counters for weeks before being eaten. Over time, the nutrient content of these plants decreases.
This was something I did not learn until I became a coach! I was very anti-supplements! Because I feared they were all bad! I feared they were full of chemicals, fillers, artificial garbage and soy based! I was very quick to judge a book by it's cover when it came to supplements! I said no to shakeology and turned my nose up at it time after time when I seen others post about it! I was a total "Know It all!" ... that DIDN'T "know it all!". After research and educating myself (Knowledge is power people) I went all in and have been using it for 2.5 years!
My point... read the ingredients! Don't assume if the FDA approved it that it is consider ok or not damaging to our health. Because what is on our shelves at the grocery may actually banded in other countries! ... what does that tell you? 😕
