I fired my gym five years ago on this same week! Yup on Jan 1st Chris and I walked into our YMCA we had been members of since we were both kids and told them we no longer wanted to renew our monthly contract. At that time we were paying $60 a month for a family membership. The childcare was nice but full of other kids (and tons of germs!!) on the weekends and especially this time of year. ⁣

To be honest I thrived in classes! I loved doing spin and body pump!! However, I had to get there early and wait in a long line just to have a spot!!! Weekends were insane and January was a nightmare! I actually wanted people to give up on their new year's resolutions so I could have my gym back and guess what!? By mid-February the place was back to normal again. ⁣

I don't think anyone goes into joining a gym with the thoughts they are going to quit showing up, but I think they simply just lack the accountability needed to keep them inspired to show up! That's why I love our online bootcamps! We still have some that hit up the gym, but they log into our online bootcamp and check in, share their struggles or wins for the day, and follow along with the other members who are inspiring them to keep moving forward! ⁣

Home fitness doesn't have to be your thing! I love it because it's way more convenient, my kids get to see me taking care of myself, and often they join along! Plus I love having direction!!! that's why I thrived in classes at the gym! I wanted someone to tell me what to do 😂 Of course as I pointed out above working out at home is more budget friendly so I can put my money else where...like on cleaner organic foods, and good quality clean supplements!! Allowing more of the budget to go toward nutrition!!! Because I'm here to tell you if all you are doing is exercise.... it's not going to be enough!!!⁣
